Susan G. Komen is the ONLY organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease.

In the pursuit of their goals, they’ve helped fuel research, unlocking the biology of breast cancer and discovering insights that propel us toward more effective risk reduction strategies, earlier detection methods and innovative treatments. This has helped reduce the breast cancer mortality rate by 44% since 1989.

To date, they’ve invested nearly $3.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. Over the past 30 years, 29 new breast cancer-fighting drugs were made possible in part due to Komen research funding.

They stand firm in their promise to never give up on our vision of creating a world without breast cancer.
